Located in the heart of the flyway with a plethora of waterfowl, some of which who settled for the spring in the area, others migrating south from the nesting grounds in search of grain for the first time in months. Whether it’s mallard ducks, specklebelly geese, canada geese featuring lessers and greaters, snow geese, or your ribeye of the sky, sandhill cranes, we have an opportunity at them all. With years of knowledge chasing waterfowl over many states across the US and into Canada our knowledgeable and professional guides are there to not only ensure you have a remarkable time, but to also be able to assist with any questions about bird habits, migration patterns, and other tips and tricks to use while you’re in camp with us. We only provide the best gear when it comes to decoys and blinds. Hand picked full body decoys to give the most realistic look in the field, partnered with comfortable a-frame blinds or layout blinds depending on the scenario of the hunt. 

We know for most of you this is a long travel and we want to make it as simple as possible for you. Therefore your ammo, meals, lodging, and bird handling are included in the price. Your license is not included but we will ensure you have the proper license to be legal in the field once you arrive at camp. 

Flights will be into the Calgary airport, from there you will pick up a rental car and enjoy a beautiful 2 hour scenic ride to the lodge. Our guest home includes 3 bedrooms 3 baths on a beautiful farmstead that sleeps 6 comfortably. Featuring a large dining area, flat screen tv’s in the bedrooms, snacks, soft drinks, and all bathroom supplies needed. For those of you with a group size larger than 6 we have an additional cabin a couple miles down the road that we will supply for the overflow. Upon arrival you will grab your bags and get settled into your rooms prior to a home cooked dinner freshly served to you by our personal chef. After dinner is complete your guide for the next day will go over a gameplan on attire, departure time, and species you will be targeting on the morning hunt. Once the morning hunt has been completed you will arrive back to camp with a freshly cooked breakfast and rest up a bit before the departure for the evening hunt. This will be the same system in place for day 2. On day three it will be a morning hunt only, once the hunt is completed you will arrive back at the lodge and head to the airport for your departure flight. More than three day hunts are available, please let us know if you’re looking for an extended trip so we can accommodate. The only reason we will not do a morning and evening hunt on a 3 day trip on day 1 and day 2 is if you reach your full limit of ducks and geese in the morning hunt. 

6 or more paying guest secures an exclusive group where you will have the entire lodge as well as only hunt with your group. If your group is less than 6 people that is okay, we will pair you with a couple other guest to fufill the 6 person group. Our motto at winged haven has always been show up as guest, leave as friends! We look forward to meeting some new friends this season! 

A question that always gets brought up is the process of bringing a gun across the border whether it is flying or driving. We will assist with documentation needed to safely get your gun across the border. It is much more simple than most think who have not done it, one form with your information, serial number, make and model of the gun, and some other small information will allow you to transport it across the border with ease. Please ensure you have a hard case with TSA approved locks on any access point of the case for legally transportation. 

**NOTE: At the time of booking, the 5% Canada GST tax will be added on top of your booking total, so no need to worry about covering the tax upon arrival!

**Hunters are responsible for transporting and taking ALL birds home with them. You take what you harvest, please honor your game and our operation!

Dog Policy: Bringing a dog is welcome, vaccines and rabies shot need to be up to date prior to crossing the border. Please check with your local veterinary to discuss any other forms of paperwork you may need to get your 4 legged companion across the border.
