Common Questions About Waterfowl Hunting in Arkansas, South Dakota & OK
Can we bring our trained dogs?
A. If your party is a private party then Absolutely, but please understand our Policy. Your dog must be steady to shot. Dogs must be able to sit quietly while birds are working. It’s for everyone’s benefit and safety. We prefer that your dogs be experienced and trained. If booking with less than 8 in a group then we have a no dog policy. Any questions, please ask while booking your hunt.
Do I need waders?
They are not a necessity as long as you have waterproof boots. However; some hunters prefer them to keep warm and would like to get in water while helping put out decoys. It will depend somewhat on whether you are hunting ducks in South Dakota, spring snow goose in Arkansas, and Oklahoma waterfowl. Contact us to go over details.
Will our guide clean our birds?
During the Spring Conservation order for snow geese we charge $5.00 per bird. Please let your guide know before the hunt if you want this service to be provided.
Do I need to send a Deposit?
Yes, a 50% deposit is required for your group, upon receipt a confirmation will be issued by email. No guarantee of hunting dates will be given without a deposit. A confirmed date is a sold date and cannot be refunded, as we are completely booked into the season and in many cases have to turn hunters away.
Do you accept credit cards
Yes we accept all major credit cards including corporate cards.
What time do we start hunting, and where do we meet our guide?
Spring snow goose hunts run half hour before sunrise until half hour after sunset. Your guide will contact you the day or night before your hunt to inform you of the location and time you will meet. If you are staying over night your guide will meet you at your hotel or our lodge the morning of your hunt.
What size shot should we buy?
For geese we suggest you buy 3″ or 3 1/2″ 1′s or BB. For ducks we suggest you buy 3″ 1′s or BB.
