About the Trip

Join Captain Frenchy for a relaxed, fish-packed day exploring the iconic marshes, bayous, and back lakes surrounding New Orleans. Running a 22’ Brackish bay boat that comfortably fits up to 5 anglers, these trips are private, customizable, and designed to meet every skill level—from complete beginners to die-hard light-tackle or fly anglers.

Whether sight-casting redfish in shallow ponds, drifting for speckled trout, or targeting drum and sheepshead around structure, you’ll fish some of the most productive inshore water in the Gulf region with a captain who understands the tides, seasons, and patterns at a high level.

Typical inshore targets include:

Species and patterns vary with time of year and conditions, but there’s opportunity for action 12 months out of the year. Fall/early winter is especially popular for trophy redfish in skinny water, with spring and summer producing excellent trout and flounder fishing.

All trips are private inshore charters aboard Captain Frenchy’s 22’ Brackish bay boat, with pricing set for 2 anglers and the ability to add additional guests (up to 5 total).

Half-Day Inshore Trip – 5 Hours

• $600 for 2 Anglers
• Additional Anglers: +$125 each (up to 5 total)

A perfect choice for families, beginners, or anyone looking for a relaxed half-day on the marsh. You’ll target redfish, trout, drum, flounder, and more across the protected bayous and ponds surrounding New Orleans.

Full-Day Inshore Trip – 7.5 Hours

• $750 for 2 Anglers
• Additional Anglers: +$150 each (up to 5 total)

A longer, more in-depth trip designed for anglers wanting maximum time on the water. Ideal for covering more ground, chasing trophy redfish, mixing in fly fishing, or exploring a wider range of marsh systems.

All Trips Include:

• Live bait
• All rods, reels, and tackle
• Fly gear upon request
• Bottled water + light snacks
• Catch cleaning and bagging
• Fuel and all safety gear

• Louisiana fishing license (saltwater, as required by LA law)
• Polarized sunglasses
