About

A European-style Pheasant Tower Shoot is a high-volume shooting experience perfect for entertaining 12-36 people. Lunch will be served in the venue barn located on the property.  Before the tower shoot begins, we will open the Duck Flush for a 2-hour warm-up of unlimited clays. Bring your target ammo and shoot until you are ready for the hunt. Immediately following the warm-up clays, we will go down to the bottom field, where a tower is built in the center of the field, and 12 shooting stations are positioned around the perimeter. We must have at least one person at each station for a successful tower shoot. We highly recommend heavy game loads in 5’s, 6’s, or 7.5’s. Clay target or Dove loads typically are too light.

In a “Full Tower Shoot,” we release 240 pheasants from the top of the tower. We would do that in 12 rounds, with 20 birds per round. In each round, we would release 1-2 birds from the top of the tower until we had let 20 birds go. The birds fly great from the tower, trying to make their way out of the bottom field and provide a nice overhead shot. After 20 birds were released, the round would end, and everyone would pick up birds and rotate to the next station. By the end of the shoot, everyone would have hunted each station once. As the hunt progresses, we will have bird cleaners working on birds for you to take home.

For the upcoming 2024-2025 waterfowl season, PO will focus on guiding four groups of people per day. We have four houses at Reelfoot Lake, and our scheduling is based on which house you will stay in. We have access to several blind locations on Reelfoot Lake and normally rotate blinds between the groups hunting.

PLEASE CALL OR TEXT BEN PARKER AT 731-446-7066 for questions about hunting and availability.

"I have had the opportunity to waterfowl hunt in many different places in North America over the years. The one thing that is considerably different about Reelfoot Lake is that we are not necessarily hunting where the ducks feed early in the mornings. The lake is surrounded by wildlife refuges and flooded agricultural land. We are mainly focused on hunting, migrating, or traveling ducks. Some days, we see 1000s of high-migrating ducks cross the lake; on other days, we see 1000s of "local" ducks trading back and forth between local refuges and fields within 100 miles or so. The best days are when we see both things happening simultaneously. I always tell folks we are not on an "early morning hunt." Yes, we have some early mornings that can be great, but mostly, we are hunting ducks that cross the lake throughout the day. Therefore, our blinds are set up to be super comfortable for an all-day hunt. We can legally hunt on Reelfoot Lake until daily shooting hours end at 3 pm. We pack food and have heat, so the hunt is like no other." - Ben Parker.
