Central South Waterfowl New Zealand Waterfowl Hunt

GENERAL HUNT INFORMATION:

We have access to a wide variety of excellent Waterfowling habitat. From beautiful High Country Mountain Tarns, crystal clear Ponds and Streams to murky Swamps and Lakes. From field hunting to jump shooting - we can do it all! We combine different types of hunting and target different species to make our hunts truly amazing and world class. Join our talented guides on a Kiwi experience you will never forget. Our 'back to the basic' style provides hunting opportunities that can see you bag most of our waterfowl species in a single day, IF you are good enough!

-WATERFOWL SPECIES: Grey Duck (Pacific Black Duck) Mallard duck, Canadian Goose, Black Swan (Cygnus atratus), Parry (Paradise Shelduck), Spoonie (Australasian Spoonbill) are our target species.

- FIREARMS: We will provide Semi Automatic shotguns, Currently pinned at 4 shots but possible extensions are available up to 6 shots, plus Ammunition with appropriate shot size for the day.

-TRANSPORT: This can vary but we have access to four wheel drive trucks, four wheel drive motorbikes, duck boats and inflatable dinghy's to get us to our location of interest.

-HIDES/BLINDS: We will be hunting from a variety of Avery Finisher and Ground-Force Lay-down Blinds, A Frame and Public water Duck Blinds. There is the opportunity also to hunt from traditional home made "Kiwi" style Blind - (MaiMai).

-APPAREL: You will need warm clothing as the majority of our Waterfowling is in Winter. Temperatures can get below -8 degree celsius but average 5-15 degrees celsius during the day.

Gumboots, Waders and Waterfowl clothing will not be provided. You will need to provide these items or purchase from our recommended dealer Davo's Fishing and Hunting located in Timaru - https://davosfishing.co.nz/

FOOD: Breakfast, snacks for the blind and lunches will be provided every day for the time you will be with us.
