Calendar and scheduling

Overview
Use the mobile calendar to review trip timing, check field schedules, and organize related events or bookings into groups. Calendar scheduling is available in the Mallard Bay mobile app on CalendarWithBackButton, with event details on CalendarEvent and group details on EventGroupDetails.
Review the Schedule
The calendar supports monthly and weekly views. In monthly view, events appear as date-spanning calendar bars. In weekly view, events are organized by resource type so guides and staff can scan work by listings, lodging, team members, vehicles, boats, gear, blinds, or ATVs.
Open a day’s itinerary to see the events for that date. Tapping an item opens the related record based on the event source, such as a booking, an event group, or a calendar event detail screen.
Filter Calendar Events
From the calendar menu, use Filters to narrow the schedule by listing, event status, and non-listing events. This helps field teams focus on the trips or operational items that matter for the day.
If your account has availability permissions, the calendar menu can also take you to availability editing for the selected listing context.
Review Calendar Event Details
On CalendarEvent, you can review the event title, date range, status, source, listing, guide/outfitter context, guest count, description, assigned resources, and notes when available.
Calendar events that open on this screen can be deleted from the event menu. Booking-sourced events open the booking workflow instead of the standalone calendar event detail screen.
Create an Event Group
Use CreateCalendarEventGroup to group calendar events together. The flow starts by selecting events for a month, then adding group details such as name, description, and color.
Event groups help staff treat related scheduled items as one operational group when planning trips, scanning the calendar, or coordinating guides and resources.
Manage an Event Group
Open EventGroupDetails to review a group’s name, description, color, date range, total guests, event count, and included events.
From the group menu, you can edit the group, add more events through AddEventsToGroup, remove events, or delete the group. Adding events excludes items that are already in the group.
Create a Booking Group
Use CreateBookingGroup when the group should be built from bookings instead of calendar events. The mobile flow lets you select bookings by status, then save the group with a name, description, and color.
Booking groups are useful when several reservations need to be coordinated together for scheduling or field operations.
