What You Can Do In Mobile
Use the mobile Integrations screen to find integration options that connect Mallard Bay with tools used for scheduling, communication, accounting, marketing, and website booking.
The mobile app shows integration cards for:
- Calendar: import or export calendar data to help sync availability across platforms.
- Custom Email Domain: send emails from your own domain.
- Meta: connect Facebook and Instagram pages to Mallard Bay.
- QuickBooks: connect QuickBooks for invoicing and finance tracking.
- SMS: enable SMS for marketing and customer support.
- Widgets: access booking widgets and website embed tools.
Opening Integration Settings
From screen_name: Integrations, tap an integration card to open its setup area. Calendar import
and export are available directly in the native mobile app. Some other integrations may open a
native setup screen or the Mallard Bay web dashboard in an authenticated in-app browser.
The browser context uses screen_name: WebView when mobile opens dashboard-based workflows.
Calendar Imports And Exports
Tap Calendar from Integrations to open the native calendar integration screen:
- Import reads an external ICS feed and changes availability for the listings, lodgings, or resources you select.
- Export creates a subscription feed containing the Mallard Bay resources you select.
An imported calendar event blocks availability; it does not create a complete Mallard Bay booking with guest, payment, pricing, and messaging information.
Connect OwnerRez Without Creating A Loop
For reliable two-way availability syncing, connect one Mallard Bay listing or lodging to one matching OwnerRez property:
Mallard Bay booking -> dedicated Mallard Bay export -> OwnerRez import
OwnerRez availability -> filtered OwnerRez export -> Mallard Bay import
Send Mallard Bay Availability To OwnerRez
Use the Mallard Bay web dashboard while viewing the correct outfitter account:
- Open Integrations → Calendar → Export.
- Create an outfitter-scoped export named OwnerRez - [property name].
- Select exactly one listing or lodging that matches the OwnerRez property.
- Copy the ICS URL and use it to create an OwnerRez calendar import for that property.
- In OwnerRez, set the import's Listing Site to Mallard Bay.
Do not use a personal or team-member-wide export for this connection. An outfitter-scoped, one-resource export keeps the feed stable when team membership changes and prevents unrelated resources from reaching the property.
Return OwnerRez Availability To Mallard Bay
- In OwnerRez, create a custom calendar export for the matching property.
- Configure its Listing Site filter as Everything but Mallard Bay.
- Copy the custom export URL. Do not use the property's default iCal URL.
- In the mobile app, open Integrations → Calendar → Import.
- Tap Import Calendar, enter a recognizable source name, and paste the filtered OwnerRez ICS URL.
- Select exactly the matching Mallard Bay listing or lodging.
- Choose the appropriate availability behavior. A single-capacity property normally uses Remove all availability.
- Save the import and review its details from the Calendar integration screen.
The Mallard Bay Listing Site marks records that originated in Mallard Bay. The filtered OwnerRez export leaves those records out of the return feed, preventing the same booking from returning as a second external availability block.
Test Before Replacing Older Feeds
Use clearly labeled test records on dates well beyond the property's normal booking window:
- Create separate one-night and two-night no-payment test bookings in Mallard Bay. Confirm that each reaches the correct OwnerRez property with Listing Site: Mallard Bay.
- Confirm both bookings are absent from the filtered OwnerRez return export.
- Create separate one-night and two-night test bookings or blocks directly in OwnerRez. Confirm that each blocks only the matching Mallard Bay resource.
- Update and cancel each test from its source. Confirm the destination updates the existing event and releases availability instead of creating another event.
For every test record in both directions, compare actual check-in and checkout values and the configured timezone, including after updates. Do not rely only on dates shown on a calendar grid. Test at least one booking across a daylight-saving time change.
After both directions pass, disable superseded OwnerRez imports rather than deleting them immediately. Archive older Mallard Bay imports only after their existing events and availability effects have been reviewed. Removing imported events can reopen dates, so contact Mallard Bay Support before bulk-cleaning legacy calendar data.
When To Use The Web Dashboard
Some integration setup is handled in the web dashboard rather than directly on a native mobile form. OwnerRez's own import, export, Listing Site, and filtering settings are configured in OwnerRez; use the Mallard Bay web dashboard for the outfitter-scoped export used by OwnerRez. You can manage the filtered OwnerRez return import from Mobile.
This is useful when you are in the field and need to quickly check or update an integration that affects bookings, availability, payments, customer communication, or your website booking tools.
