Led by experienced guide and tournament angler Brett Anander, the operation focuses on helping anglers chase trophy-class smallmouth bass in one of the most productive fisheries in North America.

Originally from Georgia, Brett’s passion for bass fishing developed early and eventually took him across the country competing and learning different fisheries. After serving in the U.S. Air Force at Fort Drum, he discovered the incredible smallmouth fishing opportunities in the Thousand Islands region and made it his home.

Today, Big Water Guide Service specializes in targeting aggressive, hard-fighting smallmouth bass across the expansive waters of the St. Lawrence River system and Lake Ontario. Whether you are an experienced angler looking to land a personal best or a first-time bass fisherman wanting to learn the fundamentals, Brett brings years of on-the-water experience and a passion for teaching that ensures every trip is productive, educational, and fun.

Trips take place aboard a 2021 Caymas CX21 Pro bass boat powered by a 250HP Mercury Pro XS, designed to safely handle big water while providing a comfortable, high-performance fishing platform equipped with modern electronics and plenty of space for anglers and gear.
