Now I said hunted, so that means you have to not only shoot at, but you must kill them to be able to take them home for dinner. Yes, for any upland bird hunting and preserve hunts in NC you are required to wear Orange. Full Hunter orange hats are proficient but some like shirts, jackets, and vest. You don't need your camo for these hunts so wear as much as you want! Being able to see each other especially in the woodcock woods is a huge safety benefit to the Hunter orange.

Yes, we typically do not keep more chukar or pheasant in stock then we need but we typically have quail and on the rare occasion we have chukar and pheasant we are happy to sell you them!

Yes, we don't discourage this, as a dog trainer we love to see dogs work and enjoy meeting your four legged companion. We ask that the dog has had obedience training, steadied (& tethered during the hunt if needed), as well as had a proper gunfire and bird introduction and is capable of doing the job. this is not the place to shoot around your dog the first time or fir them to see their first birds. Any unruly behavior from the dog or incidents that causes safety risk or risk of ruining the hunt for your group, we will ask to return the dog to the truck.

But this isn't a place for a dog training lesson although we do have an option for that! The dog should have had a bird and gun introduction and have had birds shot to them before today. We prefer to hunt with dogs steadied to shot, woah broke and broke to back. We don't mind hunting with younger dogs but is left to discretion of the guide. There is a self guided option to hunt your dog. We understand some people want to bring their dog to hunt with other dogs and be guided by a guide which is fine and can be accommodated as long as the dog can preform.
