At Top Gun Outfitters, our North Texas goose hunts focus on delivering high-action, fully guided experiences with an emphasis on greater white-fronted geese (specklebellies). With wintering populations ranging from 150,000 to 200,000 specks in our area each season, we’re positioned right in the sweet spot of the flyway.

In addition to specks, you’ll also have opportunities to shoot Lesser Canada geese and the occasional mixed-in snow goose—making this hunt both exciting and dynamic.

The Experience

Goose hunts are conducted over dry fields using layout blinds or A-frames depending on the field and conditions. Our guides scout daily and set out large, high-quality decoy spreads before you arrive, ensuring you’re in the best spot possible for the morning’s flight.

These hunts are fast-paced and can include aggressive calling, flagging, and decoy manipulation to bring birds in close for clean, ethical shots. It’s an ideal hunt for seasoned waterfowlers and new goose hunters alike.

• Bag Limit: 5 geese per day
• Possession Limit: 15 geese

Private Duck Hunting Lodge

Our main lodge is a comfortable, 4,250 SQFT facility with room for up to 16 hunters, designed to give your group both space and hospitality. We take the lodge experience seriously—relax after the hunt, grill up your birds, or kick back in the rec room with your crew.
