These seasonal trips take place during the open Pasco County bay scallop season and depart from Anclote River Park in Holiday, Florida. After leaving the ramp, Captain Bryan will travel to productive scalloping grounds where guests can enter the water and search the grass beds for bay scallops.

Unlike a traditional fishing charter, scalloping is an interactive experience where guests swim and snorkel through the shallow Gulf waters while locating and collecting scallops by hand. Captain Bryan uses his knowledge of the local waters to help the group find productive areas and make the most of the limited seasonal opportunity.

Scalloping is a great option for families, groups of friends, vacationers, and anyone looking for a different way to spend a summer day on Florida's Gulf Coast. No previous scalloping experience is necessary, but all participants entering the water must know how to swim and be comfortable snorkeling in open water.

The four-hour trip provides plenty of time to travel to the scalloping grounds, get in the water, and search for bay scallops while enjoying a summer day along Florida's Gulf Coast.

What's Included

Snorkeling equipment can be provided for guests who need it, along with the equipment necessary for harvesting scallops during the open season.

Guests should bring swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, hats, weather-appropriate clothing, footwear that can get wet, and any food, snacks, or additional beverages they would like for the trip.

Because these trips involve swimming and snorkeling, guests should be prepared to spend a significant portion of the charter in the water.

Scallop availability and charter dates are dependent on the official Pasco County scallop season and applicable Florida regulations.

All participants must know how to swim and be comfortable in the water. Snorkeling gear is supplied if needed.

Trips are based out of Anclote River Park Boat Ramp at 1119 Baillies Bluff Road, Holiday, FL 34691. Gratuity is not included in the charter price.
