KIDO SAFARIS is a Safari Outfit that operates in the Southern Part of Africa with concessions in Tanzania and neighbouring countries securing the species required by each client. KIDO SAFARIS is run by Henk Brink, who has been a professional hunter for the past 30 years.

We offer trophy hunting of more than forty species and each of them has a different challenge. Contact us for trophy fees and special packages. All field preparation of your trophies is done by KIDO SAFARIS. We deliver trophies to our shipping agent who will be responsible for the preparation, export permits and shipping. Our world renowned taxidermist can also do the complete mounting of your trophies.

Clients are advised to bring rifles ranging from 30.06 upwards. All firearms must be declared at point of entry where a temporary permit will be issued (a mere formality). Firearm hire is also available. A 50 % deposit is required at least six months in advance to secure a booking. The balance of your account (including trophy fees of all hunted or wounded animals) will be payable after termination of the hunt. There will be no refund on the deposit if not cancelled six months prior to the hunt. Please book early to secure the best time for hunting. Hunters can combine their hunting safaris with sightseeing tours for a couple of days before or after the safari.

Hunting Season is conducted throughout the year. The recommended months are March to October. Hunters will be escorted by licensed professional hunters. Summers are hot, winter days mild and sunny, but nights and early mornings can be cold. Bring regular khaki clothes and ankle high boots. A windproof jacket and sweater is recommended.

IMPORTANT:

Legally, a Professional Hunter may only accompany 2 clients (sportsmen) per hunt/per day, that is why we have 1x1 and 2x1 rates.

• Accommodation in well-equipped hunting lodges. 
• All meals included. 
• Daily rate is calculated by a hunting day or part thereof. 
• Professional hunter and hunting vehicles provided. 
• Trackers, skinners, and camp staff are included. 
• Skinning and field preparation of trophies are covered. 
• Delivery of trophies to a local taxidermist (shipper). 

Excluding in Packages:

• Transport to and from the airport and to various hunting areas at $0.70 per km per vehicle. 
• Rental of hunting rifles, if required, at $50 per day plus the cost of ammunition. 
• Gratuities for staff and professional hunters. 
• CITES license and permit fees, where applicable. 
• Hotel or guesthouse expenses before and after the safari. 
• Trophy fees for hunted or wounded animals. 
• 15% Value Added Tax on the daily rate. 
• Bank charges to be covered by the payer. 

Although KIDO SAFARIS take all reasonable precautions for the clients safety, no liability will be accepted for injury, accidents or any losses incurred. We advise our clients to take out personal insurance against illness or accident before departure. All major airlines fly to Johannesburg (O R Tambo International Airport). The hunting area will be determined by the species the client is interested in pursuing. KIDO SAFARIS will be glad to help you with any arrangements, bookings, etc. that you may need.
