Join Hyde Guides LLC for a private inshore fishing charter through the productive waters surrounding Fairfield and Hyde County, North Carolina. Conveniently located for visitors traveling from Nags Head, Manteo and other nearby coastal communities, these trips are designed for families, friends, vacationers and corporate groups looking to enjoy a safe and memorable day on the water.

Captain Greyson Davis uses his knowledge of the region’s local waterways and seasonal fishing patterns to help guests find productive areas and make the most of their time aboard. Guests are also encouraged to let the captain know whether there is a particular type of fish or style of fishing they would like to experience.

The Fishing Experience

Each charter is planned around the season, current conditions, weather and the goals of your group. Whether you are an experienced angler or fishing for the first time, Captain Grey will provide guidance throughout the trip and work to create a comfortable, enjoyable experience.

Choose from a half-day, three-quarter-day or full-day charter depending on how much time you want to spend exploring and fishing. Guests may bring their own refreshments aboard, making these trips a great option for relaxed family outings, vacations and group experiences.

Meet Captain Greyson Davis

Captain Greyson Davis began exploring North Carolina waters at a young age and purchased his first boat when he was fourteen. He later spent time fishing and enjoying the outdoors at his family’s Hyde County vacation home before founding Hyde Guides in 2014.

His experience as a professional guide allows him to work with anglers from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels while prioritizing safety, hospitality and an enjoyable day on the water.

The Boat

Guests will fish aboard a 2021 Four Sons Marine 231 Coastal Flats, powered by a 140-horsepower Suzuki four-stroke engine.

The boat is equipped with:

• i-Pilot trolling motor
• 8-foot Power-Pole Blade
• Garmin and Simrad electronics
• Two livewells
• Ample storage
• Updated electrical system and low-voltage switch

The vessel provides a capable platform for navigating the shallow and protected waters of coastal North Carolina.

Spring and Summer Pricing

Half-Day Inshore Charter — 4 Hours - $600 per trip

A four-hour charter is a great option for families, beginners or guests who want to enjoy a productive morning or afternoon on the water without committing to a full day.

Three-Quarter-Day Inshore Charter — 6 Hours - $850 per trip

Spend six hours exploring more water and enjoying additional fishing time. This option offers a balance between a half-day outing and a full-day adventure.

Full-Day Inshore Charter — 8 Hours - $1,000 per trip

The full-day charter provides the most time and flexibility to explore multiple fishing areas and adjust the day around changing conditions.

Fall and Winter Pricing

Three-Quarter-Day Inshore Charter — 6 Hours - $650 per trip

Full-Day Inshore Charter — 8 Hours - $1,000 per trip

Published prices include up to three anglers. Additional anglers may be added for $100 per person, with a maximum capacity of six guests. A deposit equal to half of the trip price is required within two weeks of the scheduled charter date.

Guests do not need to purchase an individual fishing license while fishing aboard the boat. Tackle is provided, although guests may bring up to two personal rods with advance notice to the captain.

What to Bring

Guests should consider bringing:

• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Sunglasses
• Hat
• Sunscreen
• Food, snacks and refreshments
• Non-marking shoes
• Personal medications
• Small cooler, when approved by the captain

Alcohol is permitted in moderation. However, the captain may end the trip early if a guest’s behavior creates a safety concern. Drug use is prohibited.

Weather and Rescheduling

Captain Grey monitors the weather leading up to each charter and will communicate with guests when unsafe or unfavorable conditions may affect the trip. Weather-related rescheduling options are available when the captain determines that conditions are unsafe.

Guests should arrive early and are provided a 30-minute arrival grace period. No-shows who fail to contact the captain within that period will forfeit the trip. Published policies state that payments are non-refundable.

Corporate Fishing Packages

Hyde Guides LLC also offers prepaid corporate packages for businesses that want to schedule multiple full-day fishing trips:

• 4 Trips: $1,000 per trip
• 8 Trips: $800 per trip
• 12 Trips: $600 per trip
• More Than 12 Trips: $600 per trip

Each corporate trip is considered a full-day charter and may be divided into separate four-hour morning and evening sessions based on the client’s request and the captain’s recommendation. Corporate packages include up to four anglers without an additional guest fee.

• All payments should be made upfront, and trips are scheduled after payment is received.
• Security deposits are half of the trip price and should be paid within two weeks before the trip date.
• In foul weather or emergency events, the captain may offer rescheduling when conditions are unsafe.
• Please arrive early; there is a 30-minute grace period unless the captain is alerted that you will be late.
• Alcohol is permitted, but trips may be cut short if the captain determines a guest is a danger to the crew.
• No drug use. No refunds.
• No fishing license is required because the boat carries a blanket license covering all crew members on board.
