3 day Duck Island Experience

What to Expect:

We will typically pick you up from the nearby Marina at 2PM if you arrive on Thursday, or 4pm if you arrive on Sunday. For Thursday arrivals, we will boat from the marina to the island and drop off your luggage, then embark out for an afternoon duck hunt. Your last day will be Sunday, which has no hunting, but you will depart from the island in the morning right after breakfast at the lodge. For Sunday arrivals, there is no hunting upon the day of arrival. Dinner will be prepared at the lodge and your hunting will start Monday morning. You will finish your hunting with a morning hunt on Wednesday followed by your departure around midday. Dinner will be prepared each evening while you get cleaned up from the days activities. The night will cap with good company and hopefully some decent rest before the morning's hunt. Hot breakfast will be served in the blind during your morning hunt. Depending on the progress of the hunt, lunch will either be eaten in the blind or back at the lodge where you can get cleaned up before we bring you back to the Marina early afternoon for departure. The 3 day trip will include 3 nights lodging, 8 meals and 5 partial day guided hunts.

Nestled in the heart of nature's untouched splendor, Duck Island offers a unique blend of serene beauty, rich history, and exhilarating outdoor activities. Spanning nearly 100 acres, this exclusive island paradise is the perfect setting for adventurers, nature lovers, and those seeking a peaceful escape from the ordinary. The lodge on Duck Island was built in the early 1920's by wealthy businessmen as an opulent waterfowl hunting retreat in the outer banks of North Carolina. As a private club, very few distinguished guests had the opportunity to experience its splendor over the last 100 years until now. At Duck Island Outfitters, we specialize in crafting unforgettable experiences through our expertly guided Duck Hunting Trips, Fishing Excursions, and bespoke events tailored to your desires.
