Often referred to as the “Ribeye of the Sky,” these massive migratory birds offer one of the most thrilling and rewarding waterfowl hunts in the country.

Known for their sharp eyes and wary behavior, cranes require a well-executed setup and seasoned guides. Fortunately, that’s exactly what we specialize in.

The Experience

Crane hunts are conducted over dry agricultural fields using A-frame or panel blinds, often paired with full-body decoy spreads and realistic calling setups. Birds are typically hunted in the morning, and our crew handles all decoy placement and blind setup before your arrival.

These hunts are a true spectacle—watching flocks of cranes descend with their prehistoric calls echoing across the field is something every hunter should experience at least once. We consistently shoot large groups, and many clients choose to combine crane hunts with our duck or goose packages for a full weekend of variety.

• Bag Limit: 3 Cranes per day
• Possession Limit: 9 Cranes

• Texas Hunting License + Federal Sandhill Crane Permit
• Hunter Safety Certification
• Shotgun (12ga or 10ga recommended for cranes)
