Both mule deer and whitetail tags in this area are historically drawn with one preference point or less, making this an accessible and highly attractive hunt year after year.

Hunt Overview

General Season (October 1 – 14)

During this early-season window, hunters can pursue either mule deer or whitetail on a general tag. Mule deer hunts are primarily conducted using a spot-and-stalk approach across sage flats, sandhills, and rocky terrain. Whitetail opportunities are also available, though this period takes place prior to the rut.

Whitetail Rut Hunts (October – November)

For hunters focused on whitetail, the later portion of the season offers excellent opportunity during the pre-rut and rut. Hunts take place in river bottoms and transition corridors, using a combination of ground blinds and spot-and-stalk tactics. It’s common to see multiple mature bucks in a single day during peak movement.

• Whitetail: Ground blinds and spot-and-stalk in river bottoms and feeding corridors

A license is required to hunt deer in Wyoming. The deadline to apply for a license is May 31 of the year you would like to hunt. As the outfitter we can draw this license for you.

All hunts will be 4 days in length and include private lodging.
