Experience North Carolina's Premier Inshore Fishing with Fireline Fishing Charters!
Fireline Fishing LLC was born from a passion for service to others—not only in the pursuit of target species but also in fueling and fulfilling the dreams of our clients. Creating an environment where, for a short time, the world seems small yet the memories made, stories told, and relationships built become larger than life is at the core of our mission.
Founded in 2010 by Captain Caylin Burrell, Fireline Fishing Charters is more than just a guide service; it’s an extension of Caylin's dedication to both his clients and his family. The name Fireline Fishing is a tribute to his first love—the fire service—where he served as a career Fireman/EMT for 18 years before stepping into his role as a full-time charter captain and guide. His love for the outdoors started early, hunting and fishing the rivers and lakes of North Carolina, with many memories made watching the sunrise over smoke-covered streams or hearing the sound of whistling wings before dawn.
At Fireline Fishing LLC, we are a God-centered, family-oriented business. With his wife Amber and their three sons by his side, Caylin emphasizes doing business the right way—with integrity and respect. "We don’t just want your business," Caylin says, "we want lifelong clients and friends." This foundation has led to Fireline being a trusted name in Eastern North Carolina for premier inshore fishing adventures.
Whether you're targeting Striped Bass during the spring spawn on the Roanoke River, chasing Bull Redfish in the Pamlico Sound, or enjoying a day on the water fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and more, Captain Caylin’s restored 22’ Privateer Bay boat is fully equipped for action. With top-of-the-line GPS, fish finders, and a trolling motor, this family-friendly guide service is perfect for anglers of all skill levels.

Featured Species:
Redfish (Red Drum)
Known for their powerful runs, Redfish are a favorite for North Carolina anglers. During the fall, especially from August to October, the Pamlico Sound becomes a hotspot for Bull Redfish—giant redfish that can exceed 40 inches. Fireline offers Bull Redfish trips (5 hours: $700 / 6 hours: $800), providing anglers with a chance to battle these impressive fish.
Speckled Trout
Speckled Trout are a popular inshore species in North Carolina, especially during cooler months from January to March and again from June to August. These fish are plentiful in the sounds, creeks, and rivers, and provide fun action on light tackle. Fireline’s Half-Day and Full-Day Inshore Trips ($600 / $800) are perfect for targeting Speckled Trout alongside Redfish, ensuring a productive day on the water.
Striped Bass
The Striped Bass fishing on North Carolina's Roanoke River is legendary, especially during the spring spawn from March to June. This fishery provides fast-paced action as schools of Stripers move up the river. Fireline offers 5-hour Striped Bass trips ($600), perfect for anglers looking to experience one of the East Coast's premier fisheries. Fly fishing is available on these trips for those seeking a unique challenge.
Black Drum & Sheepshead
For anglers looking to mix it up, Fireline’s inshore trips also target Black Drum and Sheepshead. These species are found around docks, bridges, and deeper channels. They offer a different type of fight, with Black Drum known for their size and Sheepshead famous for their stealthy bites and tasty fillets. Both species are commonly caught on the Half-Day and Full-Day Inshore Fishing Trips.
False Albacore
For a high-speed, heart-pounding fishing experience, False Albacore are hard to beat. These lightning-fast fish show up in the fall, making the late season from August to October the perfect time to target them. Fireline offers False Albacore trips (6 hours: $800 / 8 hours: $900), ideal for anglers who want to test their skills against one of the ocean’s most exciting species.
