Fish the pristine waters of the Lower Laguna Madre (LLM) in Port Mansfield, Texas with Snookdude Charters on our 24ft Majek Reaper. We will target Trout and Redfish with the occasional Flounder and Snook. Anglers have to choice to wade fish or drift fish or we can do both. If you are interested in targeting big sow Speckled Trout, we suggest you book your trip between January and May. These big beauties are catch and release only but offer a great fishing opportunity. Redfish fishing is ideal for the months of September and October. Snookdude charters can provide your tackle and gear if needed as well as providing waters while on the boat. Please make sure you have a valid fishing license the day of the charter and wear plenty of sunscreen. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via email or phone. Captain Ruben Garza, Jr. of Snookdude Charters is a Rio Grande Valley native, growing up in Edinburg, Texas with over 25 years of experience fishing & hunting the Texas Gulf Coast from Galveston Bay to South Padre Island. Capt. Ruben has chosen to make Port Mansfield his family home since 2009 and has been guiding duck hunts, dove hunts and fishing charters in the surrounding areas. Capt. Ruben specializes in wade fishing and drift fishing the Lower Laguna Madre with artificial lures and will accommodate all types of fisherman from kids, novices to experienced anglers who wish to wade fish or drift fish all day long.
Captain Ruben also offers Mourning Dove and White Wing dove hunts in the nearby South Texas fields along with Lower Laguna Madres Texas duck hunts for Redheads, Mottled Ducks, Pintail and a wide variety of others. Snookdude Charters also offers Cast & Blast trips so you can wade fish and duck hunt in the same day. Captain Ruben’s goal is to make sure a good time is had by all even when the fishing and/or hunting is tough.
