Overview
If you want a true shallow-water Florida experience, the Backcountry Charter is built for it. This trip is run on an 17’ Action Craft technical skiff designed to quietly access skinny water and reach areas larger boats can’t. It’s an awesome option for anglers who prefer a more technical approach and want the “quiet water” vibe—focused fishing, stealthy positioning, and high-percentage shots in shallow zones.
Capt. Jamie uses precision tools to keep you in the zone and offers clear instruction on presentations, retrieves, and technique—making this trip equally suited for beginners who want to learn properly and advanced anglers who want to sharpen skills.
Target Species
Backcountry target species vary by season and conditions and may include: redfish, trout, flounder, black drum, and other shallow-water opportunities.

Boat & Setup
You’ll fish from an 17’ Action Craft equipped with Power Poles and a Minn Kota trolling motor to access shallow water quietly and hold position. A new Suzuki motor provides fast, reliable cruising between spots.
Fish Cleaning
- Fish cleaning is included. Fillets will be cleaned and bagged for you to take home.
