The Hunt Experience

Unlike many operations, Lucky Lake does not run half days. When you’re here, you hunt.

Guests are guaranteed two hunts daily, with dedicated morning and afternoon guides so each guide can actively scout their own fields between hunts. Three full-time spotters stay on the road locating fresh feeds to keep groups on active birds.

Hunts are conducted from layout and A-frame blinds over professional full-body decoy spreads, with silhouettes and socks added when conditions call for it. Group sizes are kept flexible, allowing you to hunt with only your party if desired.

This system provides:

  • Constant access to fresh fields
  • Smaller, personalized hunting groups
  • Consistent bird movement
  • High-quality decoying opportunities
  • Ethical pressure management

About Lucky Lake Hunting Adventures

Saskatchewan owned and operated since 2005, Lucky Lake Hunting Adventures delivers a true Canadian prairie hunting experience in the heart of the Coteau Hills—just 90 minutes south of Saskatoon and minutes from Ducks Unlimited Project Luck Lake and the shores of Lake Diefenbaker and the South Saskatchewan River.

Located in Saskatchewan’s renowned prairie pothole region, our area supports massive nesting populations of ducks throughout the summer, followed by heavy migrations of specklebelly, Canada, and snow geese, Sandhill cranes, and countless ducks each fall. We also maintain healthy local populations of Hungarian partridge and sharp-tailed grouse.

All hunt packages include airport pickup and return in Saskatoon, home-cooked meals, lodge accommodations, two hunts per day, and bird cleaning. Our all-inclusive offerings also cover shotgun rentals, ammunition, licenses, and applicable taxes—allowing guests to focus entirely on the hunt.

We host only one group in the lodge at a time, ensuring all staff and resources are dedicated exclusively to your experience. With a high staff-to-client ratio and professional scouting, we keep hunts fresh and operations running smoothly. While we prefer field groups of six hunters or fewer for quality setups, we accommodate both smaller and larger groups depending on your preference—this is your hunt, and group size is always your choice.

Whether you’re planning a bucket-list Canadian adventure or returning for your annual waterfowl tradition, Lucky Lake Hunting Adventures looks forward to hosting you for a true prairie hunting experience.
