OAC Maine Black Bear Hunts

Maine, known for having the largest black bear population among the lower 48 states, OAC offers an exceptional hunting experience with a personal touch. Our success rates surpass those of major outfitters, ensuring a rewarding memory for our clients. With over 50 bait sites spread across Wildlife Management Zones 14, 9, 8, and 4, and access to more than 30,000 acres of leased land, we boast some of the finest bear hunting grounds in the state.

During our top-notch hunts, we take care of your transportation to and from the stand, ensuring your safety and convenience. OAC provides tree stands or ground blinds depending on your hunting preference. You'll be accommodated at our base camp in Guilford Maine or one of our spike camps north of Moosehead. Once you've successfully harvested your trophy, we handle the transportation to your desired location for caping and butchering. Bait hunts take place in the first two weeks of the season, and trapping and hound hunts are conducted in the last two weeks. We limit the number of hunters to 6-9 per week, guaranteeing personalized attention and accommodations.
