Bull bison hunts take place on a rugged 3,300-acre property near Hartsel, Colorado, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and classic mountain terrain. Hunters can expect partially timbered hillsides, steep draws, and a true western spot-and-stalk experience. This hunt requires moderate physical ability, as you should be prepared to hike 1–2 miles in hilly terrain while glassing and stalking.

Cow bison hunts are conducted on the wide-open prairies of the Eastern Plains near Lamar, Colorado, offering a more accessible option. These hunts are primarily spot-and-stalk from the truck, making them a great choice for hunters who want a bison experience without the demands of mountain hiking.
