Our dove hunts begin approximately 15 minutes before sunrise. You'll be seated in small chairs near tree lines and fence lines, with mojo doves set up in front of you to attract the birds. Your guide will manage the dog, so you won't need to retrieve the birds yourself. The hunt concludes at 11am or when the daily limits are reached.

Target Species: Mourning Doves, Ring-Neck Doves 

Group Sizes: To book a dove hunt, there is no minimum group size required, and the maximum group size is 15. However, to reserve a private group hunt, a minimum of 10 participants is needed.

What to bring: 

-Our guides work tirelessly to ensure your hunt is successful and enjoyable. Show your appreciation for their hard work by offering a gratuity. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!- Shotgun (12 or 20 gauge recommended)

- Ammunition - 2-¾’ Bird Shot, lead is allowed

- Camo outer layer

- Hunting boots - recommended

- Gloves 

- Eye protection recommended *No reflective/colored lenses

- Ear protection

- Raingear or waterproof outer shell recommended

- Cooler for transporting birds

- Positive attitude 

Check-in is generally between 5:00 AM - 5:45 AM on the morning of the hunt. TBO will reach out prior to the hunt to ensure ample communication on meet up spot and time

Departure time is after the completion of your morning hunt, hunts generally go till 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM, or once we limit. If bird cleaning is provided, expect to depart around 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Deposit: TBO requires a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, to hold your dates. We'll confirm your dates once we receive your deposit. Your balance is due two days prior to your hunt

Cancellation: TBOs plans are based on how many hunters and guests we've booked daily. If someone must cancel, please find a sub. TBO will gladly transfer the canceller's paid deposit toward your sub. However, in the event of a no-call, no-show with no sub, the client will forfeit their deposit to TBO to cover incurred business expenses and lost revenue. Deposits will roll over for one year if the trip is canceled outside of 30 days (from your first hunt date) and can be rescheduled for the following waterfowl season

Groups: At TBO we have no minimum to book, yet we require a minimum of 10 hunters to book a private hunting party. TBO has the ability to hunt up to 15 hunter if needed

Dog Policy: Texas Blaze Outfitters does NOT allow customers to bring dogs on the hunt

Alcoholic Beverages: Absolute zero tolerance on drinking in the field

Required licenses:

• Resident or non-resident 5 day special hunting license 
• Texas State HIP certification 
• Hunter’s Education Certification, unless born before September 2, 1971
