Few hunts capture the tradition of Texas hunting quite like a morning dove shoot. Texas Blaze Outfitters offers fast-paced Central Texas dove hunts over productive fields where hunters can expect steady action throughout the morning.

Hunters are positioned along tree lines and fence rows with mojo decoys drawing birds into range while experienced guides manage the hunt and retrieve birds with trained dogs.

Expect plenty of shooting opportunities as flocks of mourning and ring-neck doves move across the fields.

Hunt Details

• Hunt begins roughly 15 minutes before sunrise
• Morning Hunt ends around 11:00 AM
• Afternoon Hunt starts around 3:00PM
• Max group size: 15 hunters
• Private groups available with 10+ hunters

• Shotgun (12 or 20 gauge recommended)
• Birdshot ammunition (2 ¾")
• Camouflage clothing
• Hunting boots
• Eye and ear protection
• Cooler for transporting birds

Deposit: TBO requires a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, to hold your dates. We'll confirm your dates once we receive your deposit. Your balance is due two days prior to your hunt

Cancellation: TBOs plans are based on how many hunters and guests we've booked daily. If someone must cancel, please find a sub. TBO will gladly transfer the canceller's paid deposit toward your sub. However, in the event of a no-call, no-show with no sub, the client will forfeit their deposit to TBO to cover incurred business expenses and lost revenue. Deposits will roll over for one year if the trip is canceled outside of 30 days (from your first hunt date) and can be rescheduled for the following season

Groups: At TBO we have no minimum to book, no minimum for private party, and can take up to 5 hunters per night

Dog Policy: Texas Blaze Outfitters does NOT allow customers to bring dogs on the hunt

Alcoholic Beverages: Absolute zero tolerance on drinking in the field

Check-in is generally between 5:00 AM - 5:45 AM on the morning of the hunt. TBO will reach out prior to the hunt to ensure ample communication on meet up spot and time

Departure time is after the completion of your morning hunt, hunts generally go till 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM, or once we limit. If bird cleaning is provided, expect to depart around 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

• Resident or non-resident 5 day special hunting license 
• Texas State HIP certification 
• Hunter’s Education Certification, unless born before September 2, 1971
