We have the very best selection of Trophy Texas Dall Rams, Trophy Black Hawaiian Rams, Trophy Corsican Rams, and Trophy Mouflon Rams to be found anywhere in the world. There are no seasonal restrictions on hunting for the Texas Grand Slam in Texas, which makes this a suitable set of trophies year round.
We typically let our hunters choose the method of hunting Trophy Rams that they prefer. Hunters of Trophy Rams can choose the Spot and Stalk method, Bow Hunting, Rifle Hunting, Black Powder, Safari Style Hunting, Handgun, as well as hunting from a Blind. We can accommodate hunters of any age and experience level, as well as hunters which have disabilities. Whether you are experienced in tracking elusive game through rugged terrain or a novice wanting to explore the great outdoors, we have options for all.
Our Trophy Ram Slam package will get you all (4) Rams that have horn lengths averaging 30″. Our expert guide will be there to assist in navigating the wilderness, offering advice on effective camouflage and the best stalking techniques to get you close to your target. Quality binoculars and a high-precision scope can also be provided to ensure you don’t miss your shot.
This hunt will take at least 2 days to complete in most instances, or you may break up your Texas Grand Slam Ram hunt into multiple trips to the Texas Hunt Lodge.
Rules
Animal Skinning Policy:
- Our guides will skin your animal for a Shoulder Mount, Pedestal Mount or Rug. Our guides do not take the capes off the skull. If you require life-size or half life-size skinning, or need the cape taken off the skull, we will call our taxidermists to skin the animal appropriately. In this case, a small skinning fee is added to the invoice typically in the $25-$50 range per animal.
- If you want to have your cape expedited/shipped, we will have our taxidermists flesh and salt the capes, then ship when dry. Keep in mind that they do need to dry and typically are not available to take home with you right away salted.
Meat Processing Options:
- The majority of our clients use Bernhard’s Meat Processing in Ingram, TX for their meat processing. Bernhard’s has been in Business for over 60 years and is one of the most trusted wild game meat processors in the State. Bernhard’s Website and Meat Processing Options can be found online here: http://www.bernhardmeat.com/deerpro1.htm
- Meat Processing times will vary with the size of the animal. Whitetail, Hogs, African Game will typically hang for 7 days, then processed exactly how you order (2 steaks to a package, 1lb Burger packaging with beef fat or brisket, etc.) Sausage and other cured products will take a bit longer as there are more steps to the process.
- Bernhard’s Meat Processing ships Nationwide either via FedEx 2nd day or Refrigerated Freight (you typically need at least 300 lbs. of meat for Freight and have shipped to a business address).
- Alternatively, we can quarter your animals and put them in a cooler so you can take them home with you with the exception of Buffalo and Elk. Buffalo and Elk must go to the Meat Processor for skinning and Quartering due to the size of the animal (there will be a charge for this typically in the $200 range per animal)
- Our guides only Skin for Rug or Shoulder/Pedestal mount and Quarter the animals…we do not break down the muscle groups or take off the bone. We will hang these quarters in our Walk-in Cooler at the lodge and help you load when you are ready. Please keep in mind the time of year for this process…if it is 90 degrees outside time is of the essence and it may be best to go strait to the processor.
