Pursue North America's Fastest Land Animal Across South Dakota's Premier Hunting Opportunities
South Dakota Access Guide Service offers fully customized pronghorn antelope hunts across both private ranches and select Lakota tribal lands throughout South Dakota. Whether you're looking for a traditional private-land hunt or the opportunity to explore vast reservation country, our team can match you with an antelope hunt that fits your goals, budget, and hunting style.
With access to nearly 250,000 acres of private ranches and partnerships across multiple Lakota reservations, hunters gain access to some of South Dakota's most productive antelope habitat. Rolling prairie, native grasslands, agricultural transitions, stock ponds, shelterbelts, and expansive open-country landscapes create ideal conditions for healthy pronghorn populations and mature bucks.
Because every hunt is built around the tag you draw, South Dakota Access evaluates current herd conditions, property availability, scouting reports, and trophy potential to place hunters on the strongest available opportunity each season.
Typical bucks harvested on these hunts range from 70–80+ inches, with larger trophy-class animals taken annually depending on weather conditions, age structure, and regional herd health.
Private Ranch Antelope Hunts
Private ranch hunts provide hunters access to carefully selected properties throughout western and central South Dakota. These ranches often encompass thousands of acres of contiguous habitat where antelope can move freely across native prairie, grazing country, and agricultural landscapes.
Most hunts are conducted using spot-and-stalk techniques, extensive glassing, and strategic use of terrain to close the distance on mature bucks. The open nature of antelope country creates exciting hunting situations that reward patience, planning, and accurate shooting.
Hunters can expect to see numerous animals throughout the course of a hunt, making South Dakota an excellent destination for both first-time antelope hunters and experienced Western big-game hunters.
Lakota Tribal Land Antelope Hunts
South Dakota Access works with trusted tribal guides across four Lakota reservations, providing hunters access to expansive antelope country that many non-residents never have the opportunity to experience.
Cheyenne River Reservation
Covering nearly three million acres, Cheyenne River offers some of the most expansive antelope habitat in South Dakota. Vast stretches of rolling prairie, native grasslands, agricultural fields, and creek systems provide ideal conditions for pronghorn populations. The reservation's size allows antelope to thrive across enormous landscapes, creating classic Western spot-and-stalk opportunities.
Pine Ridge Reservation
Pine Ridge features a diverse mix of open prairie, rugged breaks, rolling hills, and expansive ranch country. While often recognized for mule deer hunting, the reservation also supports healthy antelope populations throughout its grasslands and open terrain. Hunters can expect long-range glassing opportunities and true Western-style hunting experiences.
Lower Brule Reservation
Situated along the Missouri River corridor, Lower Brule combines prairie habitat, agricultural influence, river breaks, and open-country terrain that create excellent antelope habitat. The diverse landscape allows hunters to pursue antelope across multiple habitat types while enjoying access to country that receives relatively limited hunting pressure.
Crow Creek Reservation
Crow Creek features extensive prairie grasslands, agricultural transitions, shelterbelts, and rolling terrain that support healthy pronghorn populations. The reservation's combination of food sources, water availability, and open visibility creates ideal conditions for antelope and provides hunters with a variety of stalk opportunities throughout the hunt.
