Bear & Lion Hunts

Chase black bear in New Mexico and mountain lion across New Mexico and Colorado behind a seasoned pack of hounds. These are classic western hound hunts built for hunters who want fast-paced days, changing conditions, and the unforgettable experience of listening to dogs work a track.

Black bear hunts use over-the-counter tags with no draw, while mountain lion hunts are planned around conditions, quota, and the best available country. Depending on the hunt, accommodations may range from the main lodge to spike camps or hotel and motel options.

• Hunters are responsible for securing applicable over-the-counter licenses and tags.
• Hunt units and areas are selected based on current conditions and available quota.
• Bear hunts are plus meals and lodging unless noted; Unit 34 includes meals and lodging at the main lodge. Lion hunts include spike-camp gear and meals, though hunters may be responsible for personal hotel or motel lodging on some hunts.
