About this trip
Florida Saltwater Fishing Charters | New Smyrna Beach, Ponce Inlet & Mosquito Lagoon
Discover some of Central Florida's most productive inshore and nearshore fisheries with Florida Saltwater Fishing Charters. Based around New Smyrna Beach, Ponce Inlet, Edgewater, Oak Hill, and the legendary Mosquito Lagoon, Captain Eric provides professionally guided fishing trips for anglers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're introducing your family to saltwater fishing or chasing your next trophy fish, every trip is tailored to current conditions and your group's goals.
Inshore Fishing Charters
Explore the protected waters of Mosquito Lagoon, the Intracoastal Waterway, shallow grass flats, winding creeks, oyster bars, and scenic backwaters that make this region one of Florida's premier light-tackle fisheries. These calm waters consistently produce quality catches of redfish, snook, spotted seatrout, flounder, black drum, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, and other seasonal species.
Captain Eric works with the tides, bait movement, and weather conditions each day to put anglers in the best possible position for success while sharing local knowledge throughout the trip. Whether you're sight fishing shallow flats or working structure along the mangroves, you'll enjoy an interactive and educational experience on the water.
Perfect for:
- Families and children
- First-time anglers
- Experienced light-tackle fishermen
- Sight-fishing enthusiasts
Every inshore charter includes:
- Florida fishing licenses
- Fuel
- Rods, reels, bait, and tackle
- Professional instruction
- Fish cleaning for legal keeper fish
Nearshore Fishing Charters
If you're ready for bigger water and harder-fighting fish while still staying close to shore, Captain Eric's nearshore trips are the perfect choice. Fishing just outside Ponce Inlet along the beaches, jetties, reefs, wrecks, and nearshore structure, these trips offer exciting opportunities to battle some of Florida's most powerful seasonal species.
Depending on the time of year, anglers may target tarpon, sharks, Spanish mackerel, bonita, flounder, sheepshead, and other migratory fish that move through the productive waters just off the coastline.
Nearshore trips are ideal for anglers looking to experience more aggressive action without making a long offshore run. Along the way, Captain Eric teaches guests how tides, current, water clarity, bait schools, and seasonal migrations all influence the day's bite.
Every nearshore charter includes:
- Florida fishing licenses
- Fuel
- Rods, reels, bait, and tackle
- Safety equipment
- Professional instruction
- Fish cleaning for legal keeper fish
