Eastern Colorado Whitetail Deer Hunt

Eastern Colorado Private-Land Whitetail Hunt

Location: Joes, Colorado

Hunt Units: Colorado GMUs 101, 102, and 109

Target Species: Whitetail Buck

Experience a private-land whitetail hunt across approximately 30,000 acres of Eastern Colorado agricultural and pasture country. Eastern Colorado Outfitters hunts a network of properties featuring cornfields, alfalfa fields, open pastures, and productive areas used by whitetails for feeding, bedding, and travel.

Whitetail hunts may be conducted from strategically placed ground blinds or elevated box blinds known as “buck huts.” These enclosed stands are equipped with heaters and seating, providing hunters with a comfortable setup during cold mornings, evening sits, and changing late-season weather.

Spot-and-stalk hunting may also be used when deer movement, terrain, and weather conditions create the right opportunity. The hunting strategy will be adjusted around current deer patterns and the hunter’s preferred method.

Trophy Expectations

Eastern Colorado Outfitters focuses on mature whitetail bucks. During guided rifle hunts, the general goal is to avoid harvesting bucks believed to be under the 150-inch range.

This is a management goal rather than a guaranteed minimum score. Final field judgments can vary, and the size or availability of any particular buck cannot be guaranteed.

Archery hunters have more flexibility and may make their own decision regarding the size of the buck they wish to harvest, provided the animal and shot opportunity comply with all applicable hunting regulations.

Eastern Colorado Outfitters does not offer whitetail doe hunts.
