Experience the diverse inshore fishery of Florida's west coast with Captain Bryan Foley and Next Catch Guide Service. Based in St. Petersburg, these private charters explore the protected waters of Tampa Bay and the surrounding area, giving anglers access to grass flats, mangrove shorelines, canals, creeks, passes, and other productive inshore habitat.

The fishery changes throughout the year, allowing Captain Bryan to build each trip around the season, tides, weather, and current bite. Snook, redfish, and spotted seatrout are primary targets on many inshore trips, while sheepshead, black drum, mangrove snapper, cobia, grouper, sharks, and other seasonal species may also provide opportunities throughout the year.

Fall can bring excellent redfish action across shallow grass flats, while the cooler winter months often concentrate snook, trout, redfish, and sheepshead in protected waters. As temperatures rise during spring, fish begin moving out of winter areas and activity increases throughout Tampa Bay.

Whether you are an experienced angler looking to sight-cast to shallow-water fish or a family looking for an enjoyable day of fishing, Captain Bryan can adjust the trip to match the group's experience level. Beginners are welcome, and instruction can be provided throughout the day.

Trips are run aboard Captain Bryan's 23-foot Hanson tower boat, equipped for the shallow and open waters surrounding Tampa Bay with a Minn Kota trolling motor, dual Power-Pole shallow-water anchors, a 50-gallon livewell, rod storage, and plenty of tackle.

Inshore 3/4 Day Charter — 6 Hours

The six-hour trip provides additional fishing time and flexibility to move between areas as tides and conditions change. This is an excellent middle-ground option for anglers looking for a more complete day on the water.

Inshore Full Day Charter — 8 Hours

Spend a full day exploring Tampa Bay's inshore fishery. The additional time allows Captain Bryan to cover more water, adjust with the changing tide, and pursue multiple fishing opportunities throughout the day.

What's Included

Your charter includes the fishing licenses required for guests aboard the boat, bait, rods, reels, tackle, and the fishing equipment needed for the day's target species. The boat carries required safety equipment and adult life jackets, along with a cooler stocked with water and ice.

If you choose to keep legal fish, Captain Bryan can clean and fillet your catch following the trip.

Guests should bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, weather-appropriate clothing, footwear that can get wet, and any additional food, snacks, or beverages they would like for the day.

Standard fishing trips depart from Captain Bryan's St. Petersburg launch locations, including Maximo Park and Crisp Park. Exact meeting details will be coordinated prior to the trip.

Gratuity is not included in the charter price. Guests should bring sunscreen, sun protection, weather-appropriate clothing, footwear that can get wet, and any snacks or beverages they would like to enjoy.

Standard pickup locations are Maximo Park Boat Ramp and Crisp Park Boat Ramp in Saint Petersburg. Special pickup locations may be available with captain approval and may be subject to an additional fee.
