South Texas Quail Hunts at Redstone Ranch

Location: Dilley, Texas — approximately 1 hour south of San Antonio

Add a classic South Texas quail hunt to your experience at Redstone Ranch. With professional guides, experienced dog handlers, and wide-open country full of action, this upland hunt is the perfect complement to our dove and exotic offerings. Whether you're chasing coveys with longtime friends or introducing someone new to the tradition, our 200-bird morning hunt delivers an exciting and unforgettable outing.

Quail Hunt Package Includes:

• 200-Bird Morning Hunt with field trucks, professional dog handlers, and seasoned dogs
• Breakfast in the Field
• Chef-Prepared Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily
• Beverage Service: Beer, liquor, water, soda, lemonade, and tea
• Access to Amenities: Pool, skeet range, long-range rifle setup, and more

Note: This is a flat-rate hunt package priced at $5,500 per group (up to 20 participants).

Each guest (hunter or non-hunter) must also purchase a daily lodge access pass at $450/person, which includes lodging, meals, and open bar.

• Resort-style pool and outdoor lounge areas
• UTV transport to/from fields (Redstone staff only)
• High-speed Wi-Fi & strong cell service (Verizon & AT&T)
• Gear cleaning station for shotguns and rifles

Available Add-Ons:

• Massage therapy ($100/hour – cash only)
• IV hydration therapy ($250 for 6 guests)
• Mariachi or live country music entertainment (advance request)

Itinerary Snapshot (Customizable):

Morning of the Hunt

• 6:00 AM – Coffee available
• 7:00 AM – Guests gathered and guided to field locations
• Morning – 200-bird quail hunt with dogs, trucks, and breakfast in the field
• Afternoon & Evening (if staying overnight)
• Midday – Lunch and optional pool time, rifle/skeet shooting, or IV/massage add-ons
• 7:30 PM – Dinner and after-hours social at the pool or firepit

Departure Day

• 8:00 AM – Breakfast
• 9:00–11:00 AM – Final checkout & departure

Pricing Breakdown:

• $5,500 per Quail Hunt (200 birds, dogs, handlers, trucks)
• $500 per Person/Day for lodging, meals, and open bar
• Add-ons available at checkout or added manually after booking
• All bookings require a 50% deposit. Remaining balance due before arrival.

Travel & Transportation:

Airports:

• San Antonio International Airport (SAT) – 1 hour
• Cotulla-La Salle County Airport (COT) – 15 minutes

Pickup Options:

• We offer coordinated transportation from both airports. Please provide flight itineraries in advance.

Need to Know:

• Tipping: $300–$600 per guest recommended; may be split or directed to specific staff
• Dogs: Bird dogs are welcome but must remain leashed or kenneled; not allowed in lodge or pool area
• Shotguns & Shells: Guests should bring their own; limited shells available onsite
• Game Policy: Processed birds will be packed and labeled; game donations must follow TPWD documentation
• UTV Policy: UTVs are for Redstone staff operation only; guests will be chauffeured around the property

• Shotgun (12, 20, 28, or .410)
• Bird belt or vest
• Snake boots (highly recommended)
• Bug spray, sunscreen, and hearing protection
• Swimsuit (for pool and hot tub access)
• Texas hunting license (download via TPWD Outdoor Annual app)
