West Texas Safaris, based out of the historic Flag Ranch, proudly serves the Permian Basin and Lubbock areas with premier hunting experiences. Located deep in the heart of the West Texas oil patch near Notrees, Texas, Flag Ranch Ltd is a family-owned partnership with a rich history dating back to the late 1800s. Spanning approximately 20,000 acres across Ector and Winkler County, the Flag Ranch specializes in raising beef cattle and conducting guided desert hunts.
At West Texas Safaris, we offer a diverse range of hunts tailored to meet the desires of every hunter. From Sandhill Cranes and Waterfowl to Quail and more, our bird hunting options are top-tier. However, we are best known for our Desert Mule Deer hunts, where the results speak for themselves. With multiple 200" mule deer harvested consistently over the past few years, we're incredibly excited about the future.
Our ranch in Goldsmith spans over 26,000 acres of prime hunting ground, where we target Desert Mule Deer, Dove, Quail, Javelina, and Turkeys. The ranch also features lodging options for your convenience. For our Duck and Goose hunts, we lease optimal waterfowl hunting grounds closer to Lubbock and its surrounding areas. Please note, we do not offer lodging for Sandhill Crane or Waterfowl hunts.
At West Texas Safaris, we strive to create an unforgettable hunting experience for every customer, blending a century-old tradition with modern hunting excellence.
