Experience True South Dakota Wild Bird Hunting
If you’re looking for an authentic South Dakota pheasant hunt—the kind with wild flushing roosters, hard-flying birds, and classic prairie cover—Falling Feathers Lodge delivers the real deal.
Our hunts focus on strictly wild birds across roughly 9,000 acres of prime pheasant habitat. From dried-up sloughs and thick cattails, to shelterbelts, ditches, old railroad bridge crossings, and cut corn fields, you’ll hunt the type of cover that holds birds and creates action all day long. We also plant sorghum and pheasant food plots specifically to keep birds in the area and improve the quality of each hunt.
We hunt over experienced guides and hard-working bird dogs, including German Short Hair pointers, giving you a classic “hunt over dogs” experience that’s both exciting and productive.
