The Best Duck Hunting in Minnesota is in the Northern Mississippi Flyway. At Palisade Flats we farm wild rice, Japanese Millet & moist soil grasses just for waterfowl, to entice the birds to visit Palisade Flats on a regular basis. We are located just north of the Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge and have a wide variety of birds that visit the rice fields every day.

From the pit blinds to brushed duck boats, our guides utilize the grounds of Palisade Flats to give you the best opportunity to harvest your birds throughout the duck season in MN. Proper scouting and harvest management ensure quality hunts for all our hunters. Season information from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Our All-Inclusive Package provides:

GUEST INFORMATION:

Check-In

Check-in is anytime after 5:00 PM the evening prior to your first day of hunting. We will have drinks, appetizers, and dinner awaiting you. Departure time is after lunch on your final day of hunting. Lodging, excellent meals, all snacks, beer, and wine are provided. If you wish to bring hard liquor you are more than welcome to. Please drink responsibly, we have a zero-tolerance policy and will remove anyone deemed unsafe from the hunt.

Transportation

If you are flying in from out of state, Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport is the closest major commercial airport. You can fly in there, rent a car and drive approximately two hours north to the Lodge.

What to Bring

You will need to bring your normal hunting clothes, chest waders, shotgun, and shotgun shells. We do have shotguns available for rent and shells available for purchase at the Lodge if you don’t wish to travel with yours.

Hunting Requirements

You will need to get your licenses before arriving at the Hunt Club as we do not have them for sale there. You can get your license online on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website.

You will need the following to be able to hunt:

· Federal Duck Stamp

· HIP certification is required for waterfowl hunting. You get your HIP certification when you purchase your license. It is free.

· A Minnesota state waterfowl stamp.

· A special goose permit is required for the September goose season.
