These hunts take place across a combination of private hunting properties and proven public-access areas, giving hunters the opportunity to explore diverse terrain while following experienced guides and well-trained bird dogs.

The Hunting Experience

Hunters can expect a traditional walk-up hunting experience that includes:

• Pursuing wild chukar and quail in their natural habitat
• Hunting rugged hillsides, grasslands, rocky slopes, draws, and transitional cover
• Following trained bird dogs through productive upland country
• Exploring a mix of private land and established public hunting areas
• Small-group hunting with experienced local guides
• Moving between hunting locations based on weather, habitat conditions, and bird activity

Chukar and quail hunting in Eastern Oregon can be physically demanding, and hunters should come prepared to walk through uneven and sometimes steep terrain. Comfortable boots, appropriate clothing, and a willingness to cover ground are essential.

2-Day Guided Upland Hunt

• $800 per hunter | 2 Full Days

Each hunt includes professional guiding, trained bird dogs, access to hunting areas, and field transportation during the hunt. Lunch or light meals may be provided depending on hunt timing and conditions.

Lodging, hunting licenses, ammunition, and gratuities are not included. Most visiting hunters stay in or near Baker City, Oregon.
