About

Dirty Texas Outfitter's Rio Grande turkey hunts are conducted over hand painted decoys and industry leading gear. We run corn feeders year around to supplement our birds to make sure they have the best chance to reproduce. We offer fully guided or self guided trips. Trips are for two days and includes two birds. Minimum of 2 hunters and maximum of 4 hunters. ($1,500)

Closest Airport

The closest airport is Abilene Regional Airport which is about 77 miles away or 1 hour and 10 mins driving. If customers are flying in from out of state it may be easier and faster to fly in to DFW International Airport and rent a car to drive from there (3 ½ hour drive).

What to bring:

Shotgun (12 or 20 gauge recommended)
Ammunition – 3” or 3.5” nontoxic shot in sizes 5, 4, 3, 2, or BB (We suggest 2 or BB.)
Camo outer layer
Warm underlayers strongly recommended
Gloves (leather and warm)
Hunter orange hat and or vest if you plan to upland hunt
Hunting boots – Warm and waterproof recommended
Eye protection – Sunglasses or shooting glasses recommended
Ear protection
Raingear or waterproof outer shell recommended
Waders (Needed for duck hunts)
Toiletries, prescriptions, and other personal items

DTO requires a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, to hold your dates. We’ll confirm your dates once we receive your deposit.
