As night falls, we’ll move quietly through the marshes on one of our custom gigging boats, scanning the waters for the unmistakable glint of frogs’ eyes & pale underbellies reflecting in the light. Once spotted, our guides will demonstrate the technique of gigging, emphasizing precision and care. With a steady hand and a little patience, you’ll have the chance to try your hand at this age-old practice.

After a successful gigging session, we’ll transition to the next phase—cleaning the frogs. Our guides will show you how to properly handle and clean your catch, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. You'll learn the best techniques for preparing the frogs for cooking, from skinning to battering, so you can enjoy a delicious meal after your adventure.

*Florida Regulation on Frog Gigging: For bullfrogs there are no seasons, bag or size limits and a recreational license is not needed. To sell frogs or take frogs to sell, a commercial fish dealers license is required. Frogs may be taken in accordance with 68A-26.002, Florida Administrative Code (FAC), including use of gigs—provided gigs are not specifically prohibited in the area. Florida Bog frogs may not be possessed without a Scientific Collecting Permit.

Deposits are non-refundable, however if the captain must cancel your trip you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund. Cancellations due to weather will be at the discretion of the captain.
