Experience Traditional Southern Bear Hunting

For hunters looking for one of the most thrilling big game hunts in North America, Lickstone Outfitters offers traditional black bear hunts with hounds across the mountains and coastal regions of North Carolina.

These hunts showcase the deep heritage of southern bear hunting. Jeremy and his team run a well-trained pack of bear hounds that track and trail bears through rugged mountain terrain and dense coastal habitat. Hunters experience the excitement of listening to the chase unfold as the dogs work the track and eventually tree or bay the bear.

Once the bear is secured, guides will bring hunters into position for a safe and ethical harvest opportunity.

This is a highly interactive hunt that blends adrenaline, teamwork, and the traditions of Appalachian houndsmen.
