Step aboard the Thirsty Mermaid and experience premier inshore fishing in the productive waters of Long Island Sound and Fishers Island Sound. These trips are designed for anglers of all experience levels, offering a perfect mix of consistent action and the chance to reel in trophy fish.

You'll target a variety of local species including Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke (Summer Flounder), Blackfish, Sea Bass, Porgies, and False Albacore, depending on the season. Fishing techniques may include drifting, trolling, topwater casting, and bottom fishing, tailored to current conditions and your preferences.

Whether you're new to fishing or a seasoned angler, our first mate is always available to provide guidance, instruction, and assistance throughout the trip.

Trip Options and Rates

Half Day Trip – 5 Hours

• Weekend Rate: $750
• Weekday Rate: $600
• Flexible Departure Times
• Morning departures between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM
• Afternoon departures between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Our most popular option. This trip provides ample time to target key inshore species and is ideal for those looking to maximize fishing without committing to a full day. Many guests aim for Striped Bass, while others prefer mixing it up with Bluefish or Fluke.

Full Day Trip – 8 Hours

• Weekend Rate: $900
• Weekday Rate: $750
• Flexible Departure Times (typically between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM)

This extended trip allows for more time on the water, more fishing opportunities, and greater flexibility in techniques and target species. While a longer day doesn’t guarantee more fish, it increases your chances of exploring multiple spots and trying different approaches.

Captain’s Special Trip

This exclusive trip is our way of giving back to those who consistently support us. Limited to just four passengers, these trips offer a chance to fish alongside the crew while exploring new fishing grounds, wrecks, and bottom structure.

These are often more adventurous outings, sometimes referred to as "crew trips," where the focus is on finding untouched areas and enjoying the thrill of the unknown.

Availability is limited, and access is granted only to guests who:

• Book at least three private charters
• Participate in four or more split charters
• Are members of our crew
