How much does Fuel typically cost?

• Fuel is typically anywhere from 80 Gallon up to 200 Gallons depending on conditions, target species, etc

What type of trips do you offer?

• Calcutta Gold provides offshore fishing charters from Venice, Louisiana

Do I need a fishing license?

• Yes! Everyone older than 16 must have a license. Get these online at the State LaDWF website, and look for the 3-day charter passenger license

What do I need to bring with me if I book a trip?

• Whatever food you want to eat and drink, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain gear if weather calls for it – friends and family.

What time should I show up for my trip?

• Approximately 5:45am, but time varies depending on time of year and weather conditions. Captains will call or text you 1-2 days in advance of your trips.

What is the best time to fish?

• Fishing down here is a year round deal. See the home page to look at which species are most prevalent at any given time of year. And keep in mind: Summer time is generally the most activity inshore and offshore, Fall and Winter is when the big tuna and the biggest bull reds show up. But, we can target a variety of species year round

Do you pack and ship my fish?

• We will clean, cut and bag the fish you catch. Transport away from the marina is up to you. The marina can help with packing and shipping for freight or air travel.

A $500 deposit is required to secure your date. In the event you need to cancel, a 30-day notice is required for a full refund. Inside of a 30-day notice, a credit will be issued to book at a later date. If severe weather or impassable sea is present your captain will reach out and discuss options within 24 hrs of your trip. The safety of guests is our number one concern and that decision is solely up to the captain if they feel as though a cancellation is necessary. At that point, a refund or reschedule will take place.

Alcohol is permitted onboard the vessel in moderation. No glass bottles. If a guest becomes belligerent and unruly the captain will have full authority to end the trip early and no refund will be issued. The captain is responsible for all guests onboard and will ensure everyone has a safe and fun experience. Please drink responsibly and take into consideration that offshore fishing is a physical activity and too much alcohol can lead to dehydration. The above practices are up in place to assure a fun and safe trip.

Food & drinks are not included in the cost of the trip, you must bring anything you plan on consuming. The captain & deckhand will clean and bag all fish caught on the trip for the day. You must bring your own ice chest to transfer your fish back home.

All guests 16 yrs and older will need a Louisiana fishing license. Three-day charter passes are available online @ lawildlifelicense.com
