Northeast Wilderness Outfitters offers traditional guided moose hunts in the Western Mountains and Rangeley Lakes Region of Maine. This region provides excellent moose habitat with a mixture of timber, regenerating cuts, and remote wilderness areas that consistently hold moose throughout the season.
Our experienced Maine guides use a combination of calling, spot-and-stalk, and still-hunting techniques depending on conditions and moose activity. The abundance of active wood cuts in the area provides ideal feeding and travel corridors, allowing our guides to effectively locate and call mature bulls during the season.
Each hunt includes one experienced guide who will work closely with the permit holder and sub-permittee, ensuring a safe, well-organized, and enjoyable hunt. Our goal is to provide hunters with an authentic Maine moose hunting experience while also enjoying the rugged beauty of the Rangeley Lakes region.
