Location
Compass West Outfitters delivers fully guided trophy hunting and fly-fishing adventures across the Southwest, with a primary focus on New Mexico’s premier public and private land units. Led by outfitter Chris Guikema and a seasoned team of full-time guides, we specialize in helping hunters navigate New Mexico’s draw process, secure landowner opportunities when available, and execute a hunt that’s tailored to your tag, unit, weapon, and goals.
Our camps are built to hunt hard and rest well—think true western “glamping” with large custom wall tents, quality cots, hot showers in camp, and dedicated cook staff on many of our all-inclusive packages. From trophy mule deer and bull elk to ibex, oryx, sheep, antelope, bear/lion with hounds, and more, we treat every tag like it’s our own and focus on high opportunity rates, strong success, and a first-class experience in the field.
We are licensed by DORA (#1929) and have operated since 1997. We hold permits for National Forest operations and maintain bonding and insurance, with documentation available upon request.
