Weekend-Only Waterfowl Hunts in the Texas Panhandle

Join us in the Texas Panhandle for a premium waterfowl hunting experience available exclusively on weekends (Friday through Sunday). Our 3-day weekend package combines expert-guided hunts with comfortable lodging at Blackwater Ranch Lodge. While we’ll always consider your preferred species, our guides scout extensively to put you where your odds of success are highest.

Sandhill Crane Hunts

The Texas Panhandle is home to some of the best sandhill crane hunting in North America. As a major wintering ground for these birds, this region delivers unmatched opportunities for high-volume crane action—guided by the seasoned team at Foldin’ Fowl Outdoors.

Goose Hunts

Step into the wide-open skies of West Texas, where thousands of geese fill the air at first light. From the distinctive sounds of Lesser Canadas to the beauty of Specklebellies and Snow Geese, our hunts offer the variety and volume you’re looking for.

• Primary targets: Lesser Canada Geese, Specklebellies
• Occasional encounters with Snow Geese
• Premier hunting locations around Lubbock and surrounding areas

Duck Hunts

Hunt in the heart of the High Plains Mallard Management Unit, where the Texas Panhandle shines as a destination for serious duck hunters. With its wetland-rich environment and steady migration patterns, the region delivers consistent duck action throughout the season.

• Common species: Mallards, Pintails, Green-winged Teal, Gadwalls
• Ideal setups over natural water and flooded fields
• Guided by knowledgeable, local experts

• $1,800 per hunter

Weekend Waterfowl Hunt (No Lodging)

• $450 per hunter/day
• Minimum to Book: 6 Guests
• Up to 16 hunters
• Lodging not included

Can I bring my own hunting dog?

We discourage bringing your own dog, primarily due to the risk posed by Sandhill Cranes. Our dogs are highly experienced and we trust them to provide the best hunting experience for you. If you still wish to bring your dog, it is up to you and your party to decide.

Visit the Texas Parks and Wildlife Website for the latest hunting regulations. We also recommend downloading the My Texas Hunt Harvest app for reporting your hunt harvests and on-site registration.

Is lodging available?

We do not have lodging for the upcoming season. However, we have discounted rates at local hotels or can help you find an affordable Airbnb.
