Nestled in the heart of the Tongass National Forest, our locally owned and operated business offers some of the best blacktail deer hunting in the world. With a stunning backdrop of 16.7 million acres of pristine wilderness, Sitka is the perfect location for your next adventure. The deer population here is thriving, and hunting is available from August 1st to December 31st, with the prime rutting season occurring from mid-October through mid-December.
Our DIY blacktail deer hunting trips are designed for those who seek the thrill of the hunt while enjoying the comforts of our flagship vessel, the M/V Desperado. Please note that this is a NON-GUIDED hunt; we provide transport services only, allowing you to rely on your own skills and expertise. Our skiff will take you to and from the beach at your convenience, ensuring you have the freedom to explore the best hunting spots.
Hunt Includes:
- 67-foot Desperado motor yacht with lodging and transportation
- All meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) plus non-alcoholic beverages
- Licensed USCG Captain and local deckhand/chef
- Crab and shrimp pots available (fishing license required)
- Waterfowl hunting assistance at no additional cost
Hunt Does Not Include:
- Guns and ammunition
- Hunting license (fishing license for crabbing and shrimping)
- Alcoholic beverages (transport to liquor store available)
- Airline tickets to and from Sitka
- Hunting gear (see our gear list for recommendations)
- Shipping of any meat or gear
Rates for our hunts are $25,000 per week for up to 4 people, departing midday on Sundays and returning Friday (5 nights on board).
