Oregon Buoy 10 & Columbia River Trip with Pro Fish Guide Service

Buoy 10 marks not only a physical point in the Columbia River's mouth but also symbolizes a vast fishing area extending along the coastline. When anglers mention Buoy 10, they're referring to a significant expanse encompassing the ocean in front of the Columbia River, stretching approximately five miles in each direction from the buoy and extending up to Tongue Point on the eastern side of Astoria. This region provides ample opportunity for fishing, with the river averaging about five miles across and offering around ten miles of space from Tongue Point to the ocean.

Buoy 10 Salmon fishing commences in the ocean around June, drawing hundreds of thousands of Coho and Chinook salmon. These fish congregate and feed on plentiful bait near the river's mouth before eventually making their way into the Columbia, en route to their spawning grounds.
