Our knowledgeable guides are familiar with the terrain and know the best spots for hunting Bighorn and Barbary sheep. You wouldn't want to go on a hunt to only miss out on locating them. We’re here to assist you throughout the process, increasing your chances of a successful hunt.

New Mexico Big-Game Draw Application Process
Step 1 – Initial Contact
Contact Derek or Dalton Martin directly and let us know:
• The species you want to hunt
• Your preferred style of hunt
• Your goals for the trip
Step 2 – Consultation & Paperwork
After a consultation phone call, we will email you:
• A Draw Contract
• A Limited Power of Attorney form
All hunters must have a signed draw contract on file before entering the New Mexico draw, per New Mexico Game and Fish law.
Step 3 – Create a New Mexico Game and Fish Account
If you do not already have an account with New Mexico Game and Fish, you will need to create one on their website.
Step 4 – Return Signed Documents
Complete the Draw Contract and Limited Power of Attorney and email them back to us.
Step 5 – Application Fee Invoice
Once we receive your completed documents, we will send you an invoice for our $50 application fee.
Step 6 – Application Submission
After we confirm your application fee has been paid, we will log into your New Mexico Game and Fish account and submit your application for the species you wish to hunt.
Important:
New Mexico requires all applicants to front the cost of license fees for the species they apply for. New Mexico Game and Fish will hold these funds until draw results are posted in mid-April.
• If successful, the state will keep the license fees for the species you draw.
• If unsuccessful, license fees for undrawn species will be refunded.
Application Deadline:
March 18, 2026 at 5:00 PM (MT)
Step 7 – Application Complete
Your application is now submitted. All that’s left to do is wait patiently until draw results are released in mid-April.
Step 8 – Draw Results & Hunt Planning
Once draw results are posted, we will contact you directly to begin planning your hunt.
If you are unsuccessful in the public land draw, we may be able to secure a private land tag as a guaranteed hunting option, if available.
Step 9 – Final Booking
If you are successful in the public land draw:
• A 50% deposit is required to officially book your hunt
• Once the deposit is received, you will be added to our schedule and assigned a guide
• The remaining 50% balance is due 30 days prior to your hunt start date
Step 10 – Head to New Mexico
Pack your bags and get ready for your New Mexico hunt!

We offer a wide range of lodging options to meet every preference, from remote spike camps and wall tents to campers, hotels, and our private lodge known as The Cockhouse. Our lodge provides a comfortable and welcoming base with eight rooms, RV hookups, and the capacity to accommodate up to 22 guests, making it ideal for individuals, groups, and families.
