Escondido Lodge Dove & Pigeon Hunts - Argentina

Escondido Lodge is located on the western side of Córdoba Province in the largest irrigated area in Argentina. The peanut, sunflower, and sorghum fields in the region—combined with extensive roosting areas—create an incredible habitat for both doves and pigeons.

The pigeon season runs from the last week in March to the first week in August, while dove season is open year-round.

The lodge features eight spacious bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Four of the bedrooms were newly built, and the main lodge was fully renovated in 2018.

Driving distances to the fields range between 15 and 50 minutes in luxury 9-passenger vans equipped with air conditioning, refreshments, and two-way radios. Each client is paired with an experienced professional bird boy who provides shells, acts as a loader, retrieves downed birds, and keeps cool drinks ready.

Shooting continues until noon, when the group gathers in a shaded grove for a traditional Argentine asado (barbecue), complemented by salads, gourmet desserts, and exceptional wines. Lunch may also be served at the lodge, where guests can enjoy a siesta in their air-conditioned rooms.

The afternoon shoot continues until about 6 PM. Upon returning to the lodge, guests are welcomed with appetizers and a refreshing towel to unwind after the hunt.
