Our diverse terrain, ranging from rugged canyons to winding river bottoms, provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable hunting adventure in the Texas Panhandle. Plaska Lodge is renowned for producing some of the largest truly wild hogs in the world, with boars over 300 pounds harvested almost every year, and our biggest ever exceeding 700 pounds.

Whether you are looking to fill up the freezer with fresh, natural pork or hang a trophy boar on the wall, we have got you covered. This all-inclusive 2-day, 3-night package includes everything you need for a successful and enjoyable hunt:

• Up to two meat hogs or one trophy hog (over 250 pounds)

For those looking for more, we offer additional options such as extra hogs, extra days, and accommodations for non-hunting guests. We hunt out of brush blinds in the mornings and evenings over travel corridors and bait piles. These are semi-guided hunts, but we are happy to arrange for one of our professional guides to hunt with you for a daily fee as long as you arrange this in advance.

These hogs are, by and large, intelligent and wise, requiring patience, grit, and persistence to harvest. Our free-range hunts provide an extremely challenging and rewarding experience, with exceptional trophies roaming the ranch.

Hunt Rules & Lodge Guidelines

To ensure a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone at Plaska Lodge, please review the following rules and expectations:

Ethical Hunting Practices:

Always make every effort to take a clean, ethical shot—especially on hogs. For your safety and ours, gut-shot pigs will not be processed.

Do not harvest female hogs nursing piglets. Violating this rule will result in a $250 fine.

Firearm Safety:

No loaded firearms are allowed inside the lodge or vehicles at any time. Always handle your weapons safely and respectfully.

Alcohol & Substance Policy:

Alcohol and prohibited substances are not allowed before or during any hunting activity. This includes any drug or substance made illegal under Texas law. Safety in the field is our top priority.

Lodge Etiquette:

• No smoking or pets are allowed in the lodge.
• Please bring a pair of indoor shoes, as hunting boots are not permitted inside.

Accommodations:

Private bedrooms are provided, along with fresh linens and towels. Complimentary coffee, tea, milk, and juice will be available. You’re welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages to enjoy after hunting hours.
