The name originates from the “Call Sign” that we used in Afghanistan during my combat tour in 2011. I was apart of HMLA-267 Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron and our call sign was “Apocalypse”. During our deployment we provided close air support for troops on the ground as well as armed escort for med evacuations provided by “Dust Off”.
