Base Camp

For select backcountry hunts, guests will stay in Montana Safaris’ traditional base camps or remote tent camps located deep in prime hunting country. These camps offer an authentic Western experience while still providing the comforts needed for extended stays in the wilderness. Accommodations typically include spacious canvas wall tents with cots and wood stoves (weather permitting), hearty home-cooked meals prepared in camp, and communal dining areas where hunters can unwind and share stories after a full day in the field. Camps are strategically placed to maximize hunting time and minimize daily travel, allowing you to wake up already surrounded by Montana’s rugged beauty. This classic backcountry setup delivers a true wilderness atmosphere paired with Montana Safaris’ experienced guides, pack horses, and camp staff—creating an immersive hunt focused on comfort, camaraderie, and access to remote country.
