We primarily hunt out of A-frame and pit blinds. These blinds offer excellent concealment and versatility, allowing us to adapt to various hunting environments. To ensure your comfort, we provide heat in all our blinds, so you can stay warm regardless of the weather.

We hunt a diverse range of terrains to maximize our hunting opportunities. This includes the Platte River, The Loop Rivers, Calamus River, Warm Water Sloughs, Dry Fields, and Flooded Corn Fields.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own firearm. We recommend a 12-gauge chambered in 3-inch; however, some clients prefer 20-gauge or 28-gauge options. All firearms must meet state and federal regulations and will be inspected by our staff before the hunt. If a firearm does not meet these requirements, it will be securely stored until checkout.

No, harvested birds are the sole responsibility of the client. All game must be removed from the property by the final day of your stay. Yeti coolers are available for purchase in our Pro Shop, and we highly recommend using them for transporting harvested game.

Check-in: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM on the first night of arrival. Check-out: 1:00PM on the final day of your stay.

Tips are not included in the price of your hunt at River Lodge Outfitters. While gratuity is never required, it is greatly appreciated and helps support the guides and staff who work to make your experience exceptional. How Tips Work at River Lodge: • We accept Cash, PayPal, and Venmo for gratuity. • Tips will be collected at checkout at the end of your stay. • To keep things fair for our entire team, gratuity is not collected by individual guides or teammates throughout your trip. Please wait to provide tips until the end of your hunt so they can be distributed properly. Industry Standard Gratuity: Most wingshooting lodges see gratuity in the range of 15–20% of your total hunt package depending on your level of service and experience. If you wish to recognize a specific guide or dog handler individually, you're welcome to note that at checkout as well.

Yes, all lodging packages include meals prepared by our in-house culinary team. We accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice.

We offer round-trip shuttle service from Kearney Regional Airport (EAR), which is approximately a 30-minute drive. Other airport options include: • North Platte Airport (LBF) - 1 hour drive • Central Nebraska Regional Airport (GRI) - 1 hour 15 minutes drive • Eppley Airfield (OMA) - 3 hours drive • Denver International Airport (DEN) - 4 hours 30 minutes drive

We typically hunt in groups of eight. However, if our guides determine that splitting into smaller groups of four will enhance the experience, they will make that decision in the best interest of all hunters.

Yes! Nebraska winters can be unpredictable, and flights may be canceled. Since all payments are non-refundable, we highly recommend purchasing travel or hunt insurance. We can provide recommendations for reputable insurance providers.

Our lodge provides comfortable lodging with modern amenities, including comfortable rooms equipped with Two queen- sized beds. Guests will have access to multiple communal gathering areas. Meals are included with lodging packages and are prepared by our culinary team. Each of our rooms are two floors with a queen size bed on both the lower and the upper level. Private groups of 4 will enjoy all single rooms, private groups of 6 will have two single rooms and two double occupancy rooms, Private groups of 8 will have four double occupancy rooms.

Generally, no. We strive to keep our clients out of deep water. 99% of the time, clients will not need to step in water above knee level. However, it is always better to have waders and not need them than to need them and not have them. We do not provide boots or waders; we recommend 18-inch Muck boots.

Possibly. Due to the hazardous nature of our hunting areas, clients must meet the following criteria to bring a dog: • You must have hunted with us for at least one season prior to bringing a dog. • You must have a private group, and all members must approve. • You must comply with our guides' decisions. If a guide determines that the dog poses a risk to itself or affects the quality of the hunt, they have the authority to remove it from the field.
